Alice Jean Thompson passed away October 29, 2020 in West Haven, Utah after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born January 5, 1963 in Ogden, Utah to Gene and Selina Wong. She grew up in Roy and graduated from Roy High School in 1981.

During her youth, she worked in the family business, Jade Terrace, as the head waitress.

She attended the University of Utah and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Family Consumer Studies in 1985. She worked briefly for the Better Business Bureau after graduation.

Alice married the love of her life, Duane Thompson, on May 10, 1986 in Ogden, Utah. They are the parents of one son, Zachary Thompson. She loved being a mother and was always very proud of Zac.

Alice worked for the Department of Defense and retired in 2019. During her career with the federal government, she held positions of an administrative assistant and a security manager.

Alice is survived by her loving husband, Duane, son, Zachary, mother, Selina Wong, brother, Jack Wong and sister, Jamie Wong. She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Wong and brother, Doug Wong.

The family would like to thank the Intermountain Health & Hospice personnel for their kindness, compassion and care provided to Alice.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Friday, November 6 th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, West Haven Cemetery.
