Allie Lila Mae Glines

August 18, 2017

Sometime on the morning of August 18, 2017, our beloved daughter and one third of our triplets, Allie Lila Mae Glines, passed away suddenly at home. She was delivered later that evening at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT.

Although her time was short, the impact she made is impossible to measure. From the moment her existence became apparent, she was the light of the lives of everyone who anticipated her arrival. The fact that she was denied her opportunity to shine among us does not mean she won’t shine. On the contrary, she will shine brighter for longer than anyone could possibly imagine.

Instead of slipping into the eternal abyss of grief, those who love her find hope in the fact that she was well taken care of during her life. They dig deep and find solace in the wonders of family and everything that brings joy into their lives. Losing a child inflicts a tremendous blow on those who experience it and the void that Allie leaves is one that will never be filled; however, the fact that she’s gone does not mean that she’s forgotten.

In the faces of Allie’s current and future siblings, we will see her shining face and feel her spirit. There will not be a day that goes by where we won’t think of her, where she is now, and what she would have been like at certain points in her life. These thoughts are excruciating in terms of the emotional toll they inflict on the ones who think them. At the same, they’re great because they give us an opportunity to remember her fondly and think of a reality where whatever took her from us never came to pass.

Allie is survived by her parents, Allen and Kayla; sisters, Adysen and Amiliya Glines; triplet brothers, Graysen and Parker Glines; grandparents, Jean Glines, Brent (Karrie) Glines, and Ricky and Kim Jensen; uncles, Brian (Andrea) Glines and Kevin Glines.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 12 to 1 p.m. with Rosary at 1 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd..
