Barry A. Gould

November 11, 1950 – August 22, 2015

His destiny on earth successfully completed, in a place he loved, on the Mountain Elizabeth, in a campsite, 10, 235 feet high in the Uintahs, Barry A. Gould embarked on his final journey to everlasting peace and contentment.

He was born November 11, 1950 into a proud military family, the son of Harry and Kathleen Gould in Joplin, Missouri.  The family was later transferred to Hill AFB and made their home in Layton, Utah where Barry attended elementary schools and graduated from Davis High School.

Following in his father’s footsteps he joined the military serving honorably in the U.S. Army.  Upon his discharge he was employed by Clearfield X-Ray firm working most of the time in Gillette, Wyoming.  He began his Civil Service career in 1981 and most recently was a 1st Line Supervisor, Non Destructive Inspection Missile X-Ray.

On July 20, 1979 he married Angela Breski Morton.  They were later divorced.  In 1991, he met and married Cynthia Reddick.  She died November 7, 2014.

He is survived by two sons, Adam (Heather) Morton, Marcus (Hannah) Gould, one daughter Amy (John) Mecham, six grandchildren, Malachi, Karson, Ayden (A.J.), Ryker, Ayla and soon to be born, Lily.  Also surviving is one sister Patty (Stephen) and three nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia and parents.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family one hour prior to services at the mortuary.

Due to his unwavering devotion and commitment in recent years to promises made, Barry will forever be remembered by those closest to him, what it truly means to love unconditionally.
