Beth Judd Felt

July 18, 1928 ~ September 18, 2015

Our beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Beth Judd Felt, 87, returned home to her Father in Heaven on Friday, September 18, 2015. Beth was born on July 18, 1928, in Ogden, Utah to Herschel and Myrtle Stephens Judd. Beth was educated through the Ogden City Schools, graduating from Ogden High School. She was a gifted singer and attended Weber State College where she majored in music. Throughout college, Beth sang in a women's choral group, known as the Musettes, and was a member of La Dianeda Sorority.

On September 2, 1947, Beth married her high school sweetheart, Marvin Leroy Felt in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they had five daughters. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings, her favorite as a Relief Society teacher.

Beth worked at Mt. Bell in her early years, ZMCI as a floor manager in Ogden, a staff assistant to Senator Frank E. Moss and retired from Weber County in 1989 where she worked for 18 years. She was appointed by Governor Scott Matheson to the State of Utah’s Citizen’s Commission for Liquor Control serving two terms.  Beth was proud of her pioneer heritage and was a loyal Democrat in Weber County who zealously worked for party candidates locally, throughout the state and nationally.  She also loved working in her yard, music and supporting her grandkid’s activities as she adored her grand- and great-grandchildren.

Beth is survived by three children, Joye Felt, Jann (Eric) Quist, and Julie (Kelly) Snowball; grandchildren, Hudd (Heather) Hayes, Adam (Desiree) Van Dyke, Jennifer Maw, Andrew (Brittney) Van Dyke, Jessica (Jonathan) Hamilton, Kelsea (Mike) McVey, and Curtis Snowball and 15 great-grandchildren.  Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two daughters, Lisa Maw and infant MaryJean; siblings, Glenn Judd, Katherine Olsen Dillman, Everett Judd, Faye Woods Hoyal, and Douglas Judd; and infant granddaughter, Amanda Van Dyke.

The family would like to express appreciation for the loving care Beth received from the staff at the George E. Wahlen Veteran’s Home in Ogden, with special gratitude to Linda, Lisa, Amber, and Kim and the staff of Bristol Hospice.

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Friends are welcome to attend.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
