Betty Jean Dutson Hamilton

Betty Jean Dutson Hamilton, 88, passed away at her home on May 23, 2018 in Layton, Utah. She was born in Ririe, Idaho June 8, 1929 to Joseph William and LuLu Elizabeth Weaverling Dutson.
On March 14, 1948, she married her sweetheart Dean Hamilton in Montana. They were blessed with two daughters and one son. Together they lived in Idaho, Utah, Texas, France Alaska, California and Arizona.
Betty was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Relief Society, YW/MIA as secretary and she was a visiting teacher for many years. She loved to knit and crochet.
She was preceded in death by her son Randall (Linda) Hamilton, two sisters Menita (Roland) Pabst and Louise (Bud) Hoyt. She is survived by her husband Dean, two daughters Sheila (Randy) Lowe, Rhonda (Scott) Chesley, 12 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. at The Evergreen LDS Chapel, 2435 E. 1500 N., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
