Boyd Curtis Walters
CLEARFIELD – Boyd Curtis Walters, 84, passed away January 9, 2017 at his home.
He was born July 28, 1932 in Lumberton, North Carolina the son of Boyd Pink and Fodie Smith Walters.
Boyd married Shelby Jean West in 1951 in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Boyd retired from the U.S.A.F. and served in Vietnam.
He served as the Sunset Director of Sports in Sunset, Utah, coached baseball and football for many years.
He loved fishing, baseball, boating, handball and volleyball.
Surviving are his children, Terry. C. (Debbie) Walters, Centerville; Paul S. Walters, Clearfield; Greg M. Walters, West Point; Jeff (Stacy) Walters, Clearfield; John (Audrey) Walters, West Point; Kathy (Rob) Krzemski, New Smyrna, FL; Vickie (Paul) Bair, West Point; Deborah Walters, Ogden; 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife Shelby, parents, granddaughters, Kerissa R. Tebbs, Kassidy A. Tebbs, brothers, Bill Walters, Pete Walters, Joe Walters and sister, Fawnie Walters.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
