OGDEN – Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend Connie M. Martinez, 79, returned to Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 13, 2016.  She was born on April 17, 1937 in Canjilon, NM to Antonio and Lucia Lopez.  Connie’s joy in life was to study the bible and to live her life as God wishes us to.  She enjoyed long scenic rides, viewing wild life, the mountains, and trips to the zoo.  She held no grudges towards anyone and always forgave those who meant harm to her.

Connie is survived by her children, Larry Martinez, Lucy Panza, Joe P. Martinez, Darlene Martinez, Manuel Martinez, Connie Tillotson, Bernie Adalid, and Pete Martinez; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

“A special thanks to her son, Pete Anthony Martinez and his family, for providing her with a loving home. I was never rejected by them and always was provided the best of care a mother could wish for.”

Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
