Constance “Connie” Jackson

1941 ~ 2019

Connie Jackson (77) of Layton, died May 25, 2019 from complications of Parkinson’s Disease.

She was born July 8, 1941 in Pocatello, Idaho to Kenneth Clark and Marcie Blackburn Clark.  She was the oldest of eleven children.  She married Arne L. Pedersen on April 18, 1960, later divorced.  Their children are Kim (Bryan) Fong of Salt Lake City, Clark (Lynor) Pedersen of Mesa, Arizona and Curtis (Elayna) Pedersen of Hyde Park, UT.

Connie married Roy Jackson on July 8, 1989.  Roy’s children are Kemy (Ron) Stoker of North Ogden, Kevin (Tracie) Jackson of Roy and Karen (Alan) Cox of Rocklin, California.  Connie is the proud grandmother of 23 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.  She has a great love for her family.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Her life was guided by a firm testimony of Jesus Christ.  She diligently served in many callings, including Relief Society president.

Her life was marked by her kindness to others.

Connie possessed a keen intellect and a creative spirit.  She was a maker of beautiful things.  Her artistic and craft pursuits included painting, scrapbooking, card making, sewing, woodworking, knitting and crocheting.  She was an avid reader.  Her green thumb resulted in beautiful plants, both inside and outside her home.  She was engaged in family history work and enjoyed her membership in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Jackson and her brothers Danny, Wade, Dennis and Larry.  She is survived by a host of family and friends who will miss her intensely.

The family would like to thank the staff of Autumn Care of Hyde Park for their care and concern for Connie.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family before the services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
