Corrie Brewer Martinez, 61, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, September 22, 2018. She was born November 28, 1956 in Ukiah, California to Edward Seth Brewer and Thelma Louise Perry.

On December 22, 1973, Corrie married her soul mate James Arthur Martinez in Roy, Utah.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Corrie was a dedicated and tireless worker while being employed by several companies including Cutter Labs and Clover Club. As her battle with cancer began, she retired from the work force only to open a day care / pre-school in her home. She was able to care for, and nurture many children over many years. This was the job she truly loved.

She enjoyed bowling, golf, card and board games, puzzle books and coloring with markers, but her favorite pastime was to spend time with friends and family.

Corrie is survived by her husband, Jimmy, three sons, James Douglas, Jeffrey Aaron (Sunnee), Jared Keith, eight grandchildren, her parents, one brother, Edward Allen (Chris), and two sisters, Cathy Louise Manning and Linda Kaye Garcia (Charlie). She was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Lee Child, a granddaughter, Jakobee Rae Martinez, and step-father, Richard Keith Reeve.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Friday, September 28th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
