Diane was a twin, her twin sister, Dawn Proctor, was her constant companion as they grew up. She was forever teasing her older sister, Geri Butler, younger brother, Russell Clark, and sister, Cheryl Pierson. Mom liked to sing and play the piano. She liked various sports; she bowled and skied, but her favorite was golf. She loved watching the Jazz and did so for many years, cheering along with dad. Mom was a teller at First Security Bank and cashier at Weber State. After retiring she served with dad as a service missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, locally and at Temple Square.
