Donna Marie Whitney

June 2, 1968 – October 21, 2017

Beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at her home surrounded by loved ones.  She was born on June 2, 1968 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lynn and Judith Bithell.  Donna was one of three children.  She was raised in Salt Lake City until her parents bought a home in Fruit Heights, Utah.  Donna loved being with her parents, whether at one of their amazing family gatherings or out on the boat.

Donna then moved to Las Vegas with her Grandma (Ida Raney) where she spent many years working and loving the night life.  Donna gave birth to Dillon Whitney on October 7, 1991 in Las Vegas, NV.  He was the light of her life.  She continued her travels going to Mexico, Thailand, and Bali.  One most memorable would be a family trip to Mexico.

Donna’s compassion was undeniable and her laughter could brighten up the largest of rooms.  Donna had a big heart and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her brother Paul Bithell, nieces, Kandice Smoot, Olivia Bithell, nephews, Jacob Burningham, Jack Bithell, Kaden Marcus, countless friends and her three babies, Cricket, Roxy and Meshee.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lynn and Judith Bithell, sister, Vicky Marcus, and beloved son Dillon Whitney.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
