Elaine Gray

Our beloved wife, mother and grandma passed away peacefully on June 4, 2015 at the University of Utah hospital from a heart attack.

She was born November 25, 1939 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Wynn J. Jensen and Gladys Fay (Sudie) Holverson. She was the first of three children. Elaine was a pep club member and graduate of Idaho Falls High School in 1959. She married Leslie John Gray on March 2, 1962 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and was sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on February 14, 1967. They were married for 53 wonderful years.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, John, and their children: Todd (Glenda) Gray, Kevin Gray, Ryan Gray, Stacey (Courtlynn Davison) Gray, and Erin (Jake) Love; her beloved 13 grandchildren; a sister, Betty Cramer, and brother, Ricky (Joan) Jensen.

Elaine loved her family and her grandchildren greatly and took great pride in their accomplishments and growth. Her life was lived as an example of service and sacrifice for others. She took pride in being a full-time mother and homemaker and enjoyed many creative outlets, including sewing, appliquéing, quilting, crafting, and crocheting. Elaine was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
