Floyd Buckley, 84, peacefully passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.

He was born May 15, 1927 to Chris and Mame Buckley in Blackfoot, Idaho. He spent his youth in the Idaho and Utah area as one of 13 brothers and sisters. He married Doradene Williams on June 4, 1947. They had two children, Larry (Penny) Buckley and Kathy Buckley and one granddaughter Maury. Doradene passed away on February 3, 1998.

He married Darlene Corless on May 1, 1999 in North Ogden, Utah and enjoyed another son and daughter, Brad (Tammy) Corless and Pam (Brad) Lindley, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Floyd was very active with the Jaycees in Layton, Utah and was an active trap and skeet shooter, fishing and just living life in general. He was introduced to the game of golf in the 70''s and became very addicted to the game. If you had a minute he would show you his "new drawing board" as he retired from Civil Service at Hill Air Force Base in 1973.

Floyd was very active with the LDS Church in North Ogden where he was surrounded by many new friends. He went through the Temple, and received his endowments later in life. He was simply a wonderful simple man, who made friends with everyone he met.

We will always remember his favorite saying... Hang in there and stay tough.

He is survived by his wife Darlene, brother Leonard Buckley, sons Larry and Brad, daughter Pam, grandchildren, Maury, Ashlie, Taylor, Courtney, Chelsey, great-grandchildren, Emmy, Reese and Locke.
