John Chojnowski

John Thomas Chojnowski

November 20, 1938 – October 27, 2017

John Thomas Chojnowski, age 78, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle passed away peacefully on October 27, 2017.

John was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Waclaw and Wanda Majmowski Chojnowski.

He received his education in Cleveland, Ohio at St. Stanislaus Elementary and Baptism.  In 1959 he graduated with a degree in auto mechanical at South High School.  He entered the U.S. Army in Fort Knox, Kentucky in 1962 and served until 1968.  He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1966 from John Carroll University.

John married the love of his life Julie Ann Tucek at Holy Family Catholic Church on January 22, 1966.  They have enjoyed over 51 years together with family, that he brought to Ogden, Utah.

He obtained his first Purchasing assignment at Euclid Motor in Hudson, Ohio in 1966.  He was promoted to Purchasing Manager for Volvo White Auto Company in Ogden.  In 1989 he accepted a purchasing manager position at Jetway Systems.  While employed at Jetway he received an International Eagle award where he purchased various OEM parts from all over the US and Europe.

He was an active member at St. James Parish, North Ogden along with his wife and children.  John and Julie were Marriage Encounter Leaders for three years.

Surviving is his wife, Julie, and their three children, Linda (Chris), John J. Chojnowski (Heather),Brian (Heather), eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and two sister in-laws.

His passion was a gentleman farmer, puttering around with his cars and loved to travel.  With his wife together they traveled the world.  His apartment business was his pride and joy.   And John professionally managed it himself.

6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. – Wake/Viewing

7:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Short Funeral Service
