"On Eternal Patrol"

Joe was born July 13, 1924 in Kaysville, Utah, the son of William “Bill” and Phoebe Winters. He graduated from Davis High School in 1941, where he was Senior Class President and chosen to the All-State Basketball team. Davis High won the State Championship that year.

Joe served in the U.S. Navy submarine service during World War II, aboard the U.S.S. Bream-SS-243.

On November 7, 1947, Joe married Glenda Smart. They have three children, Joel, Kathleen Shelton and Todd. They also have four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who are the joy of their lives.

Joe was an avid golfer and tennis player. He had hundreds of friends.

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to nurse Debbie, and Horizon Home Health for their compassion and care.
