October 9, 1916 — May 10, 2012

June Alora Hamblin

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, returned home to her Savior and other anxiously awaiting loved ones on Thursday, May 10, 2012. This journey beyond the veil began only after a life full of service to others. June worked for several years as a temple worker at the Ogden L.D.S. Temple. She also spent much of her younger years working with and serving individuals with disabilities. Her faith helped her maintain a close relationship with her Father in Heaven throughout her lifetime.

June was born on October 9th, 1916, in Bacchus Utah. She married her sweetheart, George Donald Hamblin, in 1933 and was later sealed to him in 1962, at the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. Together they had 11 kids, 3 of which died shortly after birth. June was a very loving person whose wit and humor brightened the lives of all those around her. She overcame many difficult and trying times in her life by maintaining a positive outlook and losing herself in the service of others. June was a great example of enduring to the end.

June was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, children: Don Jr., Russell, twins Darrel and Farrel, and Allen. She is survived by her children, Shirley, Marilyn, Donna, Steven, Robert, and Eddie, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Through trials and tribulations, love, sacrifice, and hard work, came her ever-growing posterity ... one in which she was very proud of. We will miss the laughter, July 4ths at her house, homemade apple pies, and stories from long ago. June has left this world a better place for having lived in it.
