Kimberly Leigh Ford Herron

January 12, 2017 (age 46)

West Jordan - Our dear Angel, Kimberly Leigh Ford Herron passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the U of U Medical Center in SLC, Utah, due to complications from Cystic Fibrosis. Heaven welcomed home one of the purest spirits to live on this earth. She was born June 17, 1970 in SLC, Utah to Daniel and Barbara Bates Ford. Kimberly graduated from Brighton High School where she loved singing in the Acapella Choir. She loved going to Cystic Fibrosis Summer Camp and hiking the Uintas. Kimberly enjoyed participating in LDS Roadshows, plays, and Pioneer Trek. She spent a summer going to Study Abroad Cambridge where she traveled the British Isles. Kimberly enjoyed working at the Lion House and volunteering at This is the Place Heritage Park. Some of her favorite hobbies were drawing, family history, writing in her journal, and collecting teddy bears.

Kimberly was one of the most devout and committed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served an LDS mission to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and served in the Primary and Relief Society. Kimberly went to Rick's College and graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Education. She had a special gift for teaching children and shared her talents teaching for the Winner School, Granite School District and Cottonwood Heights Montessori.

She was married to Brad Gary Herron in the SLC Temple on November 21, 1998. Brad and Kimberly loved travelling to Asia, Europe, the Mediterranean, Scandinavia and South and Central America. They loved going on cruises and short, weekend getaways to local bed and breakfasts.

Kimberly had the most vibrant laugh that stood out in a crowd. Her family loved her dearly and she had extra special relationships with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins. She is survived by Brad Herron (Husband), Daniel and Barbara Ford (Parents), Michelle Anderson (Sister), and Chad Ford (Brother).

We would like to thank all the many doctors, nurses, and medical professionals that helped and supported Kimberly through her long journey with Cystic Fibrosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Diabetes. She had many health trials since birth but she endured them with grace and dignity. We all admired that she never complained about all the trials she had to endure. She was the best example of being honest, true, kind and loving to everyone that she met. We love her dearly and we will miss her with all our hearts.
