Leo Leslie Beus “Papa”

“Finally Home”
Leo Beus, age 91, passed away peacefully at his home with his wife and family by his side. He was born and raised in Ogden, the son of Olive Powell and Leslie Beus.
At a young age, he proudly served in the Navy during WWII. He was assigned to several vessels one of them being a mine sweeper.
Leo was a very good salesman and had several gift shops in Wyoming, Arizona, and Nevada. He had an excellent knowledge of Indian jewelry and turquoise.
He loved his dogs. He enjoyed relaxing in his yard, feeding the ducks, and taking care of his doves and chickens.
He married Carol Bushnell and they were happy together for 28 years. They enjoyed traveling and especially their trips to Hawaii.
Leo is survived by his wife, Carol; two daughters, April (Philip) Ritzinger and Terri Freston; step-children, Lynn Bushnell, Penny (Eric) Jones, Stephanie (Paul) Vlaanderen, and Shawn (Angelique) Bushnell; 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren which includes the “4 Golly Guys.” He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved sister, Esther Costello; and brother, John Beus.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
