Colleen Johnson

Linda “Colleen” Johnson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away peacefully Saturday, March 5, 2016.

Colleen was born January 31, 1944 in Norfolk County Virginia.  She graduated from Ogden High and Stevens Henagar’s College of Business.

She married Larry Hunter and had one daughter Suzanne; they later divorced.

She married Jerry Johnson July 2, 1967.

She worked for the Forest Service, Internal Revenue Service and Hill Air Force Base where she held various positions but retired in 2005 as the Tech editor/writer for the TCG (Technical Coordination Group).

She loved spending time with family, reading, crocheting, doing needlework, camping, snowmobiling and spending time in Mesquite.

Colleen is survived by her loving husband Jerry; daughters Suzanne Morgan; (Debbie) Ed Jones; (Sue) Curtis Le Cates; grandsons; Cody, Chase, Ben, Dan, Brooks, Brandon, and Jacob, granddaughters; Amanda ChaeLynn, Taylor, Jenna and Meghan, brothers; Jim Kinghorn, (Kenny) Janet Kinghorn, and many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Colleen was preceded in death by parents Opal and Vern Kinghorn and daughter Christine Clontz.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. to say their goodbyes.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
