Linda Pearl Lewis lived a life full of happiness, compassion, and love for her family and friends before returning home to her Heavenly Father on February 10th, 2016.
Linda was born in Cedar City, Utah, to Ralph and Viola Loper. She married her sweetheart, Brigg Lewis, in the St. George Temple shortly after graduating from high school, and they began their own adventures living in Hawaii for a short time and Inyokern, California, for many years before eventually settling in Kaysville with their eight children.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving willingly in any capacity in which she was asked to serve. Her callings ranged from primary president to ward organist and most everything in between. She loved to write music and was always ready with a song for programs, activities, and just for fun. She also loved her monthly trip to the temple with her cherished husband.
As anyone who was acquainted with her knows, though, her real love was family history, and after a life dedicated to family history - not only her own family but in many other families as well, we know she has been happily welcomed home by countless ancestors and friends. Their reunion in the Spirit world must have been joyful indeed.
She is survived by her husband, Brigg, their children: Geri (Jeff), Brigg Jr (Jackie), Sheri, Joe (Shanna), Jason, Beth, Cathy (Brian), Sara, and nine grandchildren as well as her siblings: Sally (Ernie), Dick (Penny), and Mickey (Bruce) and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 16th, 2016, at 11 am at the Kaysville 17th ward, 875 East 200 North. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be held privately at the Thomas Cemetery in Blackfoot, Idaho, later in the week.
