Lorna Rae McCleary
LAYTON – Lorna Rae McCleary, 71, passed away March 19, 2020.
She was born July 15, 1948 the daughter of Elmer Edward and Betty Jo Broll McCleary in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Lorna married Philip Robert Prusse in the Salt Lake Temple. They later divorced, but brought three sons into her world.
Lorna was a dedicated elementary school teacher and so much more. She was an incredible mom and grandma of all boys, and she loved every minute of it. She loved to cook and experiment with new recipes. She loved to travel and go on adventures. She served as a missionary for the family history center in Layton Utah and found a passion for family history work. She lived her life with strength and sense of humor, that will be greatly missed.
Lorna is survived by her sons Brandon (Shellie) Prusse and Brian (Sarah) Prusse, grandsons Conner, Trevor, Spencer, Bowen, Korbin, Milo, and Emmitt. Her siblings Bob McCleary, Jana (Rick) Poulson, Maridee (Steve) Haycock and her nieces and nephews.
Lorna is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Betty Jo, her son Jason Prusse, and her grandson Ike Prusse.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
