Marion Clausse Chase

November 3, 1923 ~ November 12, 2015

Marion Clausse Chase, 92, became a heavenly angel on November 12, 2015.  Marion was born to Leon and Marie Child Clausse on November 3, 1923 in Ogden, Utah.  She married the love of her life, Richard Chase on February 8, 1947.

Mom attended Ogden High School and Holy Cross Hospital Nursing School.  She worked at the Ogden Army Arsenal, St Benedict’s Hospital and Defense Depot Ogden as a nurse.

Mom was an avid bowler in her younger years and was the Ogden City champion.  She later became interested in golf which she enjoyed playing with dad.  Mom won numerous prizes and met a lot of great friends golfing. She also enjoyed painting watercolors with her daughters.

Mom’s favorite thing to do was spend time with her family.  It didn’t matter what we were doing as long as we were together.

Mom raised four girls, Susan (Steve) Dudley, Nedra (Charlie) Johnson, Carol (Dennis) Liptrot and Carma Cooper; six grandkids, Holly (Jason) Bynum, Matt (Sarah) Johnson, Mike (Jill) Johnson, Adam (Randi) Brinley, Daniel (Terra) Brinley and Rachel Cooper;  11 great-grandkids, with one on the way and two angel grandbabies.  Mom has been extremely close to her brother, Ross (Elaine) Clausse and her sister, Orlou (Blair) Lutz and their families.

We are happy to think about mom joining dad, who has been preparing a place in heaven for her along with her parents and brother, John Clausse.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.

We would like to thank Bobbie Salterain, the amazing, loving staff at Fairfield Village and Rocky Mountain Hospice for the love and care you showed our mom.  You’re the best!!

We love you mom!!
