Rachel Lee Bowman, 37, passed away October 2, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 6, 1981 to Ron and LeNora Jane Yazzie Bowman. She lived in Bountiful, Utah, Las Vegas, NV, Salt Lake City and Layton, Utah.
Rachel was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Primary and was a visiting teacher. In high school, she sang in choir. She attended Weber State University in the Nursing Program. She was a member of the NRA.
She was Miss Shoshoni Nation Princess, Miss Weber State Princess, a Shoshoni Drum group member USSC Member and was on the Utah Board of Education Arts Council. Rachel enjoyed doing beadwork, making jewelry, sewing of dancing regalia and drawing.
She is survived by her father Ron Bowman, mother LeNora Bowman, brothers, Christopher, Nathan, sister Michelle, her daughters, Kendra Michelle, Raihiti Lee, Danielle Grace, Alani Rose. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Matthew Frazier, Erlene Frazier, Eddie C. Yazzie, Bessie Yazzie and numerous family relatives.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd.
