Ralph Eugene Harding

Ralph Eugene Harding, age 81, completed his earthly sojourn on Friday, October 21, 2016, at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, UT due to complications from Pneumonia.

He was born on December 13, 1934 in Brigham City, UT to Virga May Holst and Alma Dayley Harding.  He attended Brigham City schools and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1953.  He graduated from Weber State College with a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering in 1969.  He was employed by the State of Utah, The Marquardt Corp., Thiokol, Hercules and Boeing Company.  He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served as Bishop, Agent Bishop at the Bishop's Store House, High Councilman, and Stake Extraction Director.  His hobbies included golfing, tinkering with cars, snow skiing, and bowling.  He adored his immediate and extended family and dear friends, and especially his Yorkie, Scruffy.

He married Rae Dunn in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 27, 1954.  From this union were born six children, Douglas R. (Jean), Jeffrey D. (Karen), Bruce L. (Cindy), Scott D. (Page), Karen R. Hassell (Chad), and MaryAnne Ogden (Jeff).  He has 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife, children, one brother, Arvis H. (Gwen) Harding of Las Vegas, NV; a sister in law, Lottie Harding of Willard; and a brother-in-law, Raymond A. Jones of Clearfield.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dale (Mary) and Darwin; and a sister, Arronia Lou Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the South Ogden 6th Ward Chapel, 4380 Orchard.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
