Robert Sterling Birch, 77, returned to his Heavenly Father on October 17, 2016. He was born on August 30, 1939 to Ross and Maggie Birch. He was raised in Davis County and graduated from Davis High School. Bob married Rosanne Birch in 1971, their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Utah Temple. Between them they have three sons and eight grandchildren.
Bob was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as a faithful Home Teacher. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, working in his beautiful garden, and listening to his vast collection of Old Time Radio programs. Bob worked at Hill Air Force Base, Thiokol, and in his later years he worked as a bus assistant for the Davis County School District and loved the kids he worked with. Bob loved his family and was quick to serve them. Visiting Disneyland with his grandchildren was always a special experience for him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Claire. He is survived by his wife, Rosanne Wilcox Birch: his children Wayne Stanger, Sterling (Camille) Birch, Robbie Birch, and grandchildren Lukus, David (currently serving in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission), Adam, Sarah, Joshua, Austin, and Will.
The family would like to thank Ray Vanderdoes for his kindness over the many years.
