Robert (Bob) R. Neff

1950-2017

Bob Neff, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family on July 17, 2017.  He was born in Mechanicsburg, PA to Kenneth and Lulu Neff on June 14th, 1950.  He moved to Layton, UT when he was 16 and later married Janice Eatchel on April 28, 1972.  They had two children, Jared Neff (45) and Rachelle Neff Hasenohrl (39).  Bob has two grandchildren, Aiden Hasenohrl (10) and Olivia Hasenohrl (8).  He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and brother, Kenneth R. Neff Jr.  Bob is preceded in death by his parents.

Bob worked for the Standard Examiner for over 30 years.  When he wasn't working he was the ultimate outdoorsman.  He lived for hunting, fishing, and camping.  Once retired, Bob and Janice moved to Alaska for 5 wonderful years living in the dream cabin that Bob built before returning to Utah.

Bob was currently driving a school bus for Davis County School District.  He drove a bus for special needs children.  All of the kids on his route adored him, but then again, everyone loved Bob!

According to the family’s wishes, traditional funeral services will not be held. Instead, the family would like to invite all those who knew and loved Bob to join them in a "Celebration of Life". The event will be held at Keys On Main 242 S. Main St. Salt Lake City, UT. 84101.  August 13, 2017 at 1:00 PM.  Keys on Main is an over 21 establishment so please no children.
