Ron Dean Hooper
March 23, 1958 ~ August 30, 2016
Clinton - Every so often, the Lord takes someone to heaven way too soon, which makes one wonder if the good folks on the other side needed a soul with a high fun factor to liven things up a bit. That was certainly the case with 58 year old Ron Hooper, a loving partner, absolute wonderful dad, son, brother and friend to so many.
Ron lived his life to the fullest with such a positive fun loving spirit. It’s hard not to crack a smile when you think of him, even in this intense time of sorrow.
Born March 23, 1958, eldest son of Gary and Judy Kay Hooper. Ron worked in the concrete business, in one way or other most all his life, recently preparing to retire from Geneva Rock.
Ron loved spending time with friends and family, playing cards, camping, hunting, fishing, four wheeling, snowmobiling or just hanging out drinking an ice cold Bud Light and entertaining everyone with his hilarious and fun loving personality.
Ron’s three children were his everything. And his grandchildren were his prize possessions. Joy has been the love of his life, and never left his side throughout his two month battle with acute myeloid leukemia.
Ron is survived by his loving lady Joy, children, Zachary Hooper (Angie), Hayley MaCall Wood (Jason), and Cameron Hooper; five very special grandchildren: Harlow, Gannon, Zayden, Maci, and Kaydee; brothers Brian and Chad.; sisters Vickie Fox and Judy Wood; nieces, nephews, cousins and many special relatives.
Internment will be at the West Weber Cemetery, 4700 W. 1000 S. in West Weber. A visitation in his honor will be Saturday, September 10th at 2:00 pm at Lindquist Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
