Shirley Ann Stadelman Mack

Shirley Ann Stadelman Mack was born in Ogden, Utah on July 23, 1931 an only child of Blanche Stone and Herbert Harold Stadelman. She attended Ogden City Schools, Rowland Hall in Salt Lake City and Brownmoor School for girls in Scottsdale, Arizona. She graduated from Ogden High in 1949, attended Weber College in Ogden, Utah, and Citrus College in Azusa, California. Shirley worked for Utah General Depot, General Dynamics, and Hill Air Force Base.

Shirley married Harold James Mack in Ogden, Utah on October 28, 1965. Harold passed away on March 12, 1999. She was a member of the Ogden Golf and Country Club, American Contract Bridge League, McKay Dee Hospital Foundation Board, Ogden Humane Society Board, Queen Ester Chapter of the Order Eastern Star.

Shirley and Harold loved animals and were very interested in their welfare and the care of them. They also, were affiliated with Ogden City and the McKay Dee Hospital. Shirley loved to play bridge and was a “people person”, she was always interested in trying and doing new things.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Karen (Lyle) Palmer, three grandchildren, James, Deborah, and Kimberly; and 13 great-grandchildren, Chris, Jill, Kiely, Keaton, Kollin, Ireland, Cheyenne, Noah, Quinton, Luis, Emery, Andrew, and Makaell of which she loved dearly. She is also survived by many cousins (her “sister” cousin, Anne Kirley), and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
