Stephanie Lynn Maynard Saxey
KAYSVILLE – Our precious mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, and especially friend returned home to the arms of our Heavenly Father on August 24, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was blessed with two amazing children, Brayden and Eliza, who were the light of her life. She was so proud of everything they did and was honored to be called their mom.
Born August 26, 1979 to Gary and Shauna (Webster) Maynard. Stephanie was the oldest of five girls. She graduated from Davis High School in 1997 and went on to attend both Weber State University and Snow College.
Stephanie held many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including in the Boy Scout and Primary organizations, and as Young Women’s President. Stephanie always had such a sweet and caring spirit. Despite battling her own physical ailments, she was always found serving those around her. She was more concerned with the well being and happiness of others and always wanted everyone to know they were loved and of worth. She was always the first to put her arms around you and let you know she loved you.
She enjoyed many outdoor activities that allowed her to spend time with her children and family, including camping, fishing, shooting, riding motorcycles, and above all scuba diving.
Stephanie is survived by her two children, Brayden and Eliza Saxey, Kaysville; parents Gary and Shauna Maynard, Kaysville; four sisters, Michelle (Brance) Potter, Malad, ID; Stacey (Tyson) Hansen, Idaho Falls, ID; Carson and Sydnee Maynard, Kaysville; four nieces, three nephews; and two grandmothers, Diane Webster, Kaysville; Char Maynard, Layton. She is preceded in death by her two grandfathers, John Elliott Webster and Bill Maynard.
