“Gone Fishing”

Vicki Sue Weaver, 67, passed away on January 6, 2018. She was born on March 3, 1950 in Idaho Falls, ID, the daughter of Joseph Hayden and Nellie Etta Williams Hathaway. She moved to Torrence, CA until her teenage years then moved to Ogden, UT. She graduated from Ogden High School.

She married Wesley Sibert in Ogden, UT, in September 1967 and together they had two sons, they later divorced. She married Kenneth Buatte in Ogden, UT in May 1975 and together they had two daughters, they later divorced. She found her true love and soulmate, Larry Weaver and they were married in Ogden, UT in June 1996. They were together until his passing in July of 2001.

She worked at Iomega in Roy, UT for many years and then later retired from the IRS after 15 years of service.

Vicki was baptized LDS as a child. Vicki was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for many years.

Vicki was a very strong willed and feisty gal who had cancer wondering what had hit it for 4 ½ years! She proved to us all we are much stronger than we think we are. She loved her family very much and loved spending time fishing and camping with them. She looked forward to the family camping trips every summer and one of her favorite camping spots was in Island Park, ID. She would light up with joy when her sons would take her fishing or when her daughters would take her to Wendover or Fort Hall for some slot machine fun.

Vicki is survived by her sons, Troy (Donna) Sibert, Tremonton, UT and Steven (Tammy) Sibert, Brigham City, UT; daughters, Nicci Hansen, Tremonton, UT and Dusty (Branden) Thomas, Marriott Slaterville, UT; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Denny Hathaway and Ed (Shirlene) Hathaway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Weaver; parents, Joseph and Nellie Hathaway; granddaughter, Tiffany Sibert; sister, Deanne Peterson; and brother, Tom Hathaway.

The family would like to thank Barbara and Kelli her hospice caretakers and Cleo and the staff from Willow Glen for the kind loving care and attention to Vicki.

A Celebration of Life for Vicki will be held on January 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Marriott Slaterville Office Bldg, 1570 West 400 North, Ogden, UT 84404.Services entrusted to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary.
