Wayne Franklin Wayment, 28, suffered from drug addiction for years. And for years his family feared one day addiction would claim his life. Wayne tried his best to take the right steps to change the course of his life for the better. But ultimately his addiction claimed his life Saturday, November 10, 2018.

He was born May 28, 1990 in Ogden, Utah to Darious J. Sandoval and Shantel Mitchel. He was raised by Janet Stone and later adopted by his great-grandparents, Frank and Arlene Wayment. Wayne was raised in Taylor, Utah with his sisters, Heidi Stone and Lori Wayment. Wayne had a loving childhood and was the most spoiled kid of them all.

He was active in all sports, boy scouts and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Wayne met Rachel Cochran and together they had a beautiful daughter, Rayne Elise Wayment; she was the light of his life. He loved and adored his little girl.

He worked construction and roofing jobs throughout his short life. Wayne was loved so much and family helped him in so many aspects of his life. He made a lot of wonderful friends along the way of his life journey. He will forever be in our hearts and will be deeply missed.

Wayne is survived by his birth father, Darious Randy Sandoval (Samantha), his birth mother, Shantel Mitchell, his other mom, Janet Stone, two sisters, Heidi Stone, Lori Wayment, three brothers, Shon Stone, David Bancroft, Jaden Bancroft, cousins, Trinadee and Brandler Stone, Rocky, Christina, Jacob Stone and many more. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Arlene Wayment and two uncles, Wayne and Lynn Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
