Arminna May Hadley, 89, died Friday, January 7, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born October 4, 1921 in Eden, a daughter of Fergus O''Conner Wilson and Sarah Moffett.
She was raised and educated in Eden graduating fromWeber High School. She resided in Ogden for 64 years.
Mom met Leonard Hadley at Continental "Wonder Bread" Bakery. They married on July 23, 1943 in Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Leonard preceded her in death in August of 1998.
May was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings including as a temple worker in the Ogden Temple. She served in the Relief Society Presidency in her 80''s, and 30 years in the Primary.
She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. May always had a garden, was a talented seamstress and loved to crochet and knit. She enjoyed bowling and attended her children''s dances. She was the "Home Handy-Man". It seemed there was nothing she couldn''t do. If it was tilling her garden to cutting firewood with the chain saw. She worked at Washington Market for Leonard in between each child. She also worked at IRS for many years.
Surviving are two sons and four daughters, Ronald (Diana) Hadley, South Ogden; Brent (Elena) Hadley, Ogden; Connie (Al) Warden, Roy; Vicki (Don) Smith, Vernal; Carol (Brent) Wilson, Plain City; Shelli Weinberger, Salt Lake City; she also had 77 grandchildren, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved and adored, as they loved and adored her.
Also surviving are two sisters, Fern Nelson, Idaho; and Evelyn Worley, California.
Preceding May in death were her husband, one son, one daughter, one brother, four sisters, one granddaughter, two great-granddaughters, one grandson and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Family will greet friends at the mortuary on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 12:45 to 1:45 p.m.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Dr. Carl Grey and his staff, Alpine Home Care and Hospice especially, Tawnya and Loraine. A special thanks to her next door neighbor Marlin and to Lillian.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
