FARMINGTON - Aaron Franklin Richards, 73, passed away on Friday August 24, 2007 in his Farmington home, surrounded by people he loved.

He was born February 25, 1934 to Franklin Reeder Richards and Gloria Louise Anderson in their home in Farmington, Utah.

He will be remembered for his love of family, God, country and dairying. Aaron graduated from Davis High School in 1952 where he served as an FFA officer. He received a B.S in Dairy Production from U.S.U. in 1956.

Aaron married Jetta Flint on September 18, 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they had five children. Their posterity now includes 27 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Aaron attended college with financial help from the Army ROTC, served on active duty in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, and in the Utah Army Reserves. From a very young age he loved dairying. He is proud that the Richards Jersey Farm has been in the family five generations. He served as Bishop of the Farmington 3rd Ward. For over 35 years he has served the community as water master and then manager of the pressure irrigation district.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jetta, and daughter, Gloria Ann.

He is survived by his sister, Sheila Spencer, and children, Eileen (Wayne) DeLeeuw, Calvin (Cheryl), Kathleen (Dennis) Burt, and Flint (Sandy), his grandchildren, and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Steed Creek Chapel, 347 So. 200 W., Farmington. Friends and family may call Monday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.

The family expresses deep appreciation to the excellent health care professionals who have cared for him.

Aaron was a firm believer in education. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund.
