Abran M. Gallegos

September 27, 1928 ~ March 26, 2019

Abran M. Gallegos, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. He was born in Antonito, Colorado, in 1928. He was the third of nine children born to Salustiano and Florina Gallegos. He was raised in Colorado and later met and married Bernice Salas in 1945. They then moved to Ogden, Utah.

He was employed at Hill Air Force Base for many years and later retired from Thiokol Corp. He served many years as a reserve police officer for Ogden City Police Department.

He had a great sense of humor and kept everyone he met entertained with all his stories and escapades. Every year, he grew a beautiful garden that he shared with others. His past time was gardening, watching western movies and could always be found in his garage working on a project.

Abran is survived by his three daughters, Darlene Martinez, Maxine Nevarez, and Judy (Anthony) Martinez. He has 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his wives, Bernice Gallegos and Caroline Ross and grandson, Brian Nevarez.
