A.C. Kelley passed away May 30 th 2015 at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home surrounded by family.
He was born September 2 nd , 1939 in Caruthersville, Missouri to Dave Kelley and Ardissie Kelley.
He served his country honorably in the United States Air force from 1959 retiring in 1986. He worked as a Civilian from 1989 to 2002. His tours included Vietnam, England, Germany and several state side bases. He was a dedicated soldier who gave 100% to everything he aspired to do. He was an inspiration to family and friends.
He married the love of his life Norma Kelley August 10 th 1963 in Bedford England. From that union they had four sons, Antony, Dave, Mark and Adrian.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Norma Kelley; Children: Antony (Michele) Kelley, Mark Kelley and Adrian (Sheila) Kelley, nine grandchildren: Erica, Tiara, Mark Jr., Tahmeira, Kiana, Naiya, Aundre, Adrian Jr. and Alyric Kelley and one great-grandchild: Reese. His surviving siblings are Edward (Gloria), Danny, Norman and Margie and a host of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son Dave Francis Earl Kelley, his mother Ardissie Kelley Foster, father Dave Kelley, step-father Edward Foster, brother Darnell Foster and sister Jessie Carter.
Special Thanks to Bristol Hospice and the entire staff at the George E. Wahlen retirement home, especially the staff on the Delta Unit for their compassion and sincerity throughout his stay.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
