Ace Reed King

LAYTON – Ace Reed King, 46, passed away September 6, 2017 from cancer.

He was born November 15, 1970 the son of Karl Reed and Mary Merintha McCracken King.

Ace married Mindy Lee Strasburg on June 8, 1991 in Layton, Utah.  They were later divorced but remained good friends.

He was a member of the LDS Church and as a young boy, was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout.

Ace enjoyed painting, wood working, fishing, motorcycles, pinewood derby, metal lathe, dirt bikes, camping and boating.

Surviving are his parents, son, Andrew Reed King, Kaysville; daughters, Tanessa Leigh King (Rowdy Payne), Layton; Danna Marie King (Greg) Hayes, Clearfield; five grandchildren, sisters, Malinda Ann King (Jeff Richardson), Murray; Amy Merintha King (Shawn Mills), Syracuse; and Laura Jane King (David Nelson), Layton.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Reed King, Jane and Jerry McCracken, and Nellie and Wayne Price.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Park West Ward, 1715 W. 1600 No., Layton.  Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
