Adrian G. Rawson
CLEARFIELD - Adrian Glen Rawson, 86, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Beehive Homes in Clearfield.
He was born July 24, 1923 in Kanesville, Utah, to Lewis Merlin and Eva Rose White Rawson.
Adrian married Dorothea Helene Gabler on August 25, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dorothea preceded him in death on April 8, 1999.
He attended Weber High School and served his country with the U. S. Army Air Corp during World War II.
Adrian worked as a timekeeper at Defense Depot Ogden and as an item manager at Hill Air Force Base.
He loved to hunt, fish, and had many trophies from his enjoyment of bowling. He also loved to read and study religion. Adrian’s musical talents included playing the piano and harmonica.
Surviving are his son, Glen Adrian (Kathey) Rawson, Troy, SC; two daughters, Joan Roholt and Karen (Dale) Byington, both of Roy, UT; and three grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Donna (Don) Rose, North Ogden; and VaLane (Paul) Child, Washington Terrace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothea, his brother, Merlin L. Rawson, sister, Verla Mitchell, and son-in-law, Charles.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Bishop Paul Child officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
