Adrian Schoens

Adrian Schoens OGDEN – Adrian Schoens passed away on Thursday, September 2, from various complications due to health. He died peacefully surrounded by his son and daughter, Bill and Monica. He was born July 22, 1926 in Haarlem, Netherlands to Franciscus Schoens and Greitje Glashouwer. Adrian had an extended family of four brothers and one sister, all in the Netherlands. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1957 with his first wife, Klazina; they became naturalized citizens in 1962. They later divorced. He then married Valaun. She passed away in 2007. Adrian was a lifelong member of the Ogden Eagles and Post 9 of the American Legion. He loved watching the Jazz play. He is survived by his son, William J. Schoens, and his daughter, Monica G. Martinez. The family would like to thank the staffs at Manor Care and Legacy Hospice for their wonderful care and kindness. Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Honeyville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements and cremation entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
