Adriana Edna VanLimburg Dalebout
Edna V. Dalebout, 102, born January 13, 1910 in Ogden, Utah, passed away on August 27, 2012. What a joyous reunion has recently taken place in Heaven! Edna was a loving daughter of Arnold and Janna Schipper VanLimburg. On October 24, 1939 she married Sylvester M. Dalebout in the Salt Lake Temple. Sylvester and Edna have three sons: David (Karen), Dennis (Jean), and Mark (Dorothy). She was a very devoted daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Their posterity include 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and surrogate son, Dallas Buckway.
Edna and Sylvester have been lifelong residents of South Ogden and have been active members in the 22nd, 28th, 38th, and 65th Wards of South Ogden. Throughout her life, she was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding various positions. She willingly and unselfishly gave of her time and many talents. She will lovingly be remembered for the compassionate service she extended as she enjoyed doing volunteer work and devoted her life to serving others. She was a master cook and homemaker. She had a great love for her family, loved ones and many, many friends.
Sylvester passed away on December 20, 2008. Edna has resided in South Ogden most of her married life. She has recently lived with her son, David, in Syracuse and most recently at the Heritage Park Care Center in Roy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
The family would like to express appreciation for the loving care given to Edna by her home wards in South Ogden, Syracuse and Heritage Care Branch, and by IHC Hospice and Heritage Care Center.
