Adrian (Bud) Draayer, Jr. quietly passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at his home in Bountiful.
Bud was born on March 7, 1930 in Clinton, Utah the son of Adrian William Draayer and Grace Bessie Starkey. He married Sharon Hammon on May 27, 1948 in the temple. They were blessed with four children, but were later divorced. In 1980, he married the love of his life, Barbara Carson Hays in Las Vegas, Nevada; they were sealed in the temple on January 8, 1982.
Bud lived in South Ogden for 22 years and had been a resident of Bountiful since 1980. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked at Hill Air Force and owned various businesses including: car lots, car rentals, movie rentals, and a boutique; he was also a landlord. Bud loved bowling, automobiles, and building homes.
He was preceded in death by three sons: Mont, Lynn, and Vaughn Draayer; one daughter, Connie Bish; and his wife, Barbara. He is survived by his stepsons: Craig (Belinda) Hays, Kenny (Marina) Hays, and David A. Hays; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Family and friends may call Wednesday, November 11 from 6-8p.m. at Lindquist’s or from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery. The family would like to thank Applegate Hospice, Patty and Jonathan Horne, and the Mueller Park 4th Ward for the love and care they gave to their dad.
