Agnes Winifred Shelton

Agnes Winifred Shelton, 96, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Heritage Park Care Center.

She was born November 1, 1915 in Blanchester, Ohio to LeRoy and Audry DuVall Stanforth. She lived in Blanchester for 30 years before moving to Los Angeles, California where she resided for 66 years. She has lived in Roy, Utah for one year.

On May 5, 1940, Agnes married Walter Frederick Shelton in Blanchester, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1981.

She was a Sunday School teacher at the Angeles Temple in Los Angeles.

Agnes was an exceptional artist. She created masterpieces in oil and pastel paintings. She also was creative in mosaics with seashells.

She is survived by one son, Gerald Lee Shelton, Layton; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Vera Taylor.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Walter, one daughter, Ruth, and four brothers.
