Agnes Mac Farlan Park Wasdyke, 88, of Layton, Utah passed away September 10, 2016, at Fairfield Village of Layton.

Agnes was born in Paterson, New Jersey to Joseph Park and Elizabeth McElhatten on March 28, 1928.

Agnes married Calvin “Cal” George Wasdyke Sr. on January 22, 1949. They were married for 65 years, until his death in 2014.

Agnes graduated from Eastside High School, Paterson, NJ in 1946, where she met her future husband, Cal.  She worked as a secretary until the birth of her first daughter, Janice, in 1954.

Agnes was a loving, devoted wife and mother who also helped her husband in his auto parts business doing clerical duties.  She was a volunteer at St. Stephen's Catholic Church and School.  She was a member of the Republican Club and she worked at the polls during election times.  She was always there to help family and friends in times of need, such as, the birth of a child or illness. Agnes and Cal were both only children, but they had many close, life-long friends and always knew how to have a good time.  Upon his retirement, they traveled around the country in their motor home and often met up with friends and visited their children and grandchildren in Florida and Utah.

Agnes is survived by her three children, Janice Wigington of Trenton, FL, Grace (Shane) Belliston of Layton, UT, Calvin Jr. (Lisa) Wasdyke of Moorestown, NJ; and four grandchildren, Michelle, Elizabeth, Calvin III and Stephen.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel Street, Layton, UT, with Father Clarence Sandoval, officiating.  Friends may visit with family Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd.

Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 1711 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
