Aileen Marie James

Aileen Marie James, 85, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013.

She was born October 2, 1927 in McGregor, Iowa, the 10th child of Francis Xavier Ohmer and Theresa Marie Gruenfelder.

On October 27, 1947, Aileen married Joseph Leroy James in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2001.

She worked for many years until her retirement from AT & T as a data control manager.

Aileen was at her happiest when gardening or bowling, fishing or camping. She loved a simple walk and a home cooked meal.

She was blessed with four daughters, Rita Louise Whitehouse (David), Patricia Lea Strong, Barbara Lynn Petersen, and Janet Lorraine Ballantyne (John).

Barbara preceded her in death on August 21, 2011. All beautiful grand and great-grandchildren survive.

No formal services will be held but please celebrate her home. Remember too, she loved the color red and rainbows.
