Aileen Bingham Jones Nakano Cragun Brown

July 13, 1927 ~ November 18, 2014

Aileen Bingham Nakano, 87, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 18, 2014.

She was born July 13, 1927 In Weston, Idaho, a daughter of Lewis and Luella Kofoed Bingham. Her early years were spent in Idaho. She moved to Tooele before moving to Ogden in 1961, where she spent the rest of her life.

She married Richard M. Jones on June 15, 1944 in Ogden. They later divorced but remained friends. On April 19, 1971, she married Suyeo (Frank) Nakano in Wendover, Utah. He preceded her in death December 29, 1995. She married Jay Cragun on July 13, 1999; he preceded her in death November 26, 2004. She married Ebenezer (Ebbie) Brown on July 9, 2009.

She retired from the IRS after 41 years and during that time she also worked at Kays Noodle Parlor for more than 20 years, where she made many good friends.

Aileen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served faithfully in many different callings; she loved being a visiting teacher and making friends.

Our mother’s life was one of service to others and her family was the most important part of her life.

Aileen is survived by her husband Ebbie Brown, Ogden; two sons, Lewis B. (Deb) Jones, Clinton; John R. Jones, Ogden; Juanita Miller, Clearfield; Carrol (Bob) Dandoy, Roy; Luella (Paul) Sottosanti, Roy; eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Gloria Wood, Morgan; and Francine Pitcher, Preston, ID.

She was preceded in death by three husbands, one son, one granddaughter, one great-grandson, three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 24th at the Mt. Lewis 4th Ward Chapel, 550 East 900 North, Ogden. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
