Akiko W. Sersha

Akiko W. Sersha Akiko W. Sersha, 82, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010. She was born April 2, 1927 in Osaka, Japan. She married Patrick Sersha on May 6, 1971 in Tokyo, Japan. Akiko was reared and educated in Japan and moved to the U.S. in 1962. They moved to Syracuse in 1978 and she was a seamstress, retiring from Utah Woolen Mills. Survived by her husband, Patrick, son Yoshio Fukui of Japan, and two sisters, Chieko Bast, Denver, CO and Simiko Wakasaka of Tokyo. Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
