Akio Dick Hamada
Akio Dick Hamada, 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. He was born on July 18, 1937 in Ogden, Utah. Dick graduated from Ben Lomond High School and attended University of Utah for one year and Weber State for 2 years.
He married Sheral Morishita on April 28, 1962 in Ogden, Utah.
Dick was a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Army National Guard; having served for over 30 years including during Desert Storm.
He retired from Hill Air Force Base as a Civil Engineer Supervisor.
Dick is survived by his loving wife, Sheral, Centerville; daughter, Vicki Kikumi (David) Hattori, Bountiful; grandson, Christopher; brother, Minoru Hamada, Ogden and sister, Haru Toimoto, Bountiful, Utah and Las Vegas, NV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Masaru, Shigaru, and Yorito Hamada, and sister, Mitsuko Enomoto.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Ogden Buddhist Temple, 155 North St., presided by Reverend Jerry Hirano. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the temple.
Inurnment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden, UT.
Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary.
