Alan Francis Parks, passed away on December 1, 2022, survived by the love of his life Glenda. Born on May 16, 1941, in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Mary Ellen Marjercak and Robert Francis Parks.
He was married to Sylvia (Sloots) Parks and later divorced then Married Glenda Sue Rucker Parks.
Beloved husband, dad, brother, grandpa, and a great friend to all who knew him.
Alan, served in the NAVY on the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier, He was an Engineer, worked at Morton Thiokol and Williams International. He served faithfully in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints.
He loved spending time with his family, on his Ham radio where he loved talking to everyone around the world, working on guns and shooting them and hunting with friends and family, driving up in the mountains in his jeep–he loved adding new things to his jeep because he said it made it look cool, volunteering at the Browning Museum, and going to gun and ham radio shows. He also loved helping other people.
Survived by wife, Glenda Parks; children, Troy (Marilynne) Parks, Stephanie Parks, Christopher (Laurie Read) Parks, Courtnee Parks (Brett Clyde), Christy (Deceased) (Joe and Gina) Daniel, Tracy Mangel, Korey (Steve) Wardleigh, Jay Mangel, and Kevin (Amber) Mangel; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and sister, Millie Parks (Lane Raper). Preceded in death by his daughter, Christy Sue Daniel; grandsons, Baby Joseph Daniel and Jordaon Mangel; granddaughter, Kelton Chournos; and brother, Kenneth Parks.
Alan Parks services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary 3408 Washington Blvd, Ogden UT. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
