OGDEN a€" I was born September 1, 1924 in Grosse Ile, an island on the Detroit River, a wonderful place.

I served with the U.S. Navy, submarine service, during World War II.

I attended University of Utah where I was a brother in the Sigma Nu Fraternity. While at the U of U I met the love of my life, Marilynn Rebholz. Following graduation we were married and had 51 years of happiness together.

I began a 30 year career in the insurance business, first as an underwriter and then as a principal with Eubank Insurance and Bonds.

I loved spending time with our bridge club friends, the "Wild Bunch" and the Model A. gang.

We had three bright and successful children, John (Noel), Sharon, and Allyson (Don); three grandchildren, Tyler (Katie), Marlee, and Jenna, and one great-grandchild, Joshua.

My last years were golden because of my special gal Dorothy Jones.

To celebrate my life, please join my family at the Ogden Golf and Country Club, 4197 S. Washington Blvd., Ogden, on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 4 to 6 p.m. Bring a story and a smile. I had a great life.
