Albert worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, retiring after 43 years of service. He also worked for the Gibbons and Reed Construction Company as a heavy equipment operator and supervisor for many years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and some golf throughout his life when time would permit. He loved spending time in his garden and small greenhouse planting and growing flowers and trees, that he would grow from seeds and then give them away to families, friends and anyone he thought would enjoy them.
Albert and his wife, Mary, belonged to the Northern Utah Golden Spikers Club for many years where he served as President and they enjoyed lasting friendships with close friends. While president of the club, he and Mary raised money and did charity work for Make a Wish Foundation, St. Anne''s Shelter, YCC for Battered Women and Children, Search and Rescue Dogs, Rescue Mission, Food Bank, Children and Families of Soldiers in the Service, Hospice and numerous other charities.
