Albert Giannini

Al was born in 1938 in Providence, Rhode Island to Italian immigrants Pio and Judith (Bruno) Giannini.  He was married for many years to Carol (Octeau) and spent most of his adult life in

Greenville, RI.  He has many friends from his long time business Al’s Package in Woonsocket, RI.

He is survived by his daughter Stacey (Ray) Foster who cared for him during his early retirement years. While there he loved to watch his granddaughters sporting events, especially

softball, and enjoyed the mini farm they created on their property. There was never a dull moment with the cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits, goats and of course dogs. Stacey’s oldest,

Kailey, moved to Utah soon after him to attend Utah State University and was able to visit and entertain him with her never ending adventures. The twins, Hannah and Abby, are still rival

Mets fans but loved to root for the Patriots with him.

Four years ago he moved to Bountiful, Utah to live with his older daughter Jacqueline (Daniel) Humiston and her family. Here he learned to experience dance, choir, orchestra and theatre from his granddaughters Erin and Emma. Someone was always singing or dancing around the house or laughing and joking with him. He missed spending time at Lake George, NY with his only grandson, John, when he moved to Chicago for college.  John more recently settled in California and was able to visit more often and share stories about his outdoor adventures, travel and acting antics. He was so incredibly proud of both his daughters and all his grandchildren. Al was watched over by his guardian angel puppies, George and Gracie, during these final years in Utah. He will be greatly missed.

Al was a man of simple needs and always had a smile for anyone who came by. He loved french fries, with or without a good burger, and he could eat ice cream, donuts or Oreos any

time of day. He was one of the founders of the first fraternity at Johnsons and Wales Business College in RI and did National Guard time with his local US Army unit. Al loved to watch

anything sports, especially the Patriots and the Red Sox and hated anything political, especially Nancy Pelosi.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Marie (Waldro) Lynch, Corinne and Carmelina Giannini. We would like to thank South Davis Home Health and Hospice and all the doctors in Bountiful who have taken such good care of him over the last four years. At his request there will be no services. Care entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
